On my HT20 I have a high transmission temp light and it is connected to the switch that is located on the hydraulic block on the backside of the dash. I want to test it to see if it is working properly, but I dont know how. I tested the light and that does work. So how would I test the switch?

I also have an HT20 and I've also wondered if the high trans temp light/switch worked.

The only method I know of to test the switch would be to remove it from the valve and place it in a cup of oil on the stove with a thermometer. Connect an ohm meter to the switch and heat the oil till the switch "closed" read the temp on the thermometer at the point at which the switch changed state.

Thats a lot of work, therefore I've never done it.

I don't know the spec, but hopefully the switch will close at 190-200F, you typically don't want hydraulic oil to get much hotter.
