I've noticed a decent number of posts talking about how the mule drives for this series of tractors are fairly difficult to find. I took some measurements on the parts that I could not find for sale, AM101628, AM30860 and M82758, and modeled them into Solidworks.

I will be doing the same for the AM101634 and 635 braces since I could only find the 635 and will need the 634 brace.

I'm looking at getting some quotes from some fabrication houses that I talk to a semi regular basis to find out how much these would be to manufacture. I'm trying to get an idea as to what people would be willing to pay for these, either just the parts shown, or fully assembled mule drives. I would also look at selling braces, either single or in sets depending on demand.

Your thoughts would be appreciated as to whether it would be worth going through with.

probably your best bet would be to watch ebay.. you can drill down and check the "sold" or "completed auction" to see what they are going for

I had a mule drive fabricated, there is a thread somewhere. It was a perfect match, well maybe some very slight massaging of the slots for the pins on the frame. Anyway, it cost me 2 dozen doughnuts and then pieces that came from jd such as springs, wheels and hardware. If I had to pay for one I'm not sure it would make sense, there's a lot of fabrication by hand. I gave the fabricator a mule drive to work from and I think that is the reason why it came out so well

I think LTG helped a guy in Europe with the measurements IMSMR

PLUS- these units are getting pretty old, and demand will go down.

Actually I used that thread to cross check my measurements and it's what got me thinking there might be some interest seeing as how rare these seem to be.

I had checked ebay before and there was only two units sold in the last year or so and none currently available.

If my quote comes back and it's just not economical to make them, I'll probable just release the drawings for others to use.

Do you have the measurements for the mule drive? I can’t find them or a replacement mule drive for sale anywhere. I bought my 2460x for my 185 hydro separately, and it doesn’t have the mule drive. I’m planning on cobbling one together, but I’d have much better luck if you had those drawings.
