I have a 72 model JD 4000 with a single HYD remote. I have found a 4020 that I can get another HYD remote off of cheap.

My question is other than the linkages will this bolt right up to my tractor?
My tractor has a plate where the second remote goes. No linkages

Please reply with ANY info you have, on this addition.

To be sure I was thinking correctly I checked the 4000/4020 parts catalog. There are 2 different housings with a SN break but the earlier housing subs to the later model so my answer is YES the housing will interchange.

Is the remote self contained and just bolts up?

Will I have to take the remote insides out to remove it?


I have seen the valves and springs on a break down of the remote.

Self contained only held on tractor with 4 bolts and operating linkage.
