The 12" rims from the later Large Frames will work just fine on an 1886. They will even work on the earlier Large Frames like the 1250's, etc. They were one of the available sizes right from the start of Large Frame production.
Check with Belgrade Tractor in Belgrade, Maine. He used to sell on eBay, but stopped when the costs went up. He was ofetn parting out Large Frame Bolens tractors. I don't have a phone number for them, but they should be listed.
FYI------- The Large Frames used 26x12-12 rear tires, including on the 1886. The rim width is approx. 10" with an offset of 4.5" on one side of the rim and 5.5" on the other side. The rims are reversible to allow a narrower or wider track as desired.
