TSC and others have belts for ost tractors for between $15 and $20.

Is there a belt that will work on my tractor for that much? The only one I can find is at parts and service, and it is $30+. it is listed as 37x69

I'm seeing them for $20/$21 plus shipping. Try your local Napa/Auto Zone etc.

Google 37x69ma belt for online sources.

that's weird

TSC who sold the freaking thing looked for 1/2 hour and couldn't find a part number or manual. so I got the string and tape out, measured it at 80-3/4" x 1/2" width

They have an 80x1/2" I'm thinking will work for $18. the belt has probably stretched that much since 1994.

Mine has a belt guide book that list the belt number that converts it to their numbers. They didn't have the belts for the Murray GT that I was looking for, which was 37x68 and 37x92, but they did have the one you were looking for, 37x69.....so they may just be out of them since the season is winding down. They have told me many times they don't re-order the L&G supplies. They go into winter stoves and pipe and such in the shelves where belts are at in my store.
