HT20 and HT18 decals question

I see sams has to different set of decals for both, one with the red FMC on the front with no dog and there in black and white And the other the gold and black with the gold dog on the front.

My question is, are the gold decals some special thing?
I never seen a HT20 or HT18 with the gold ones till the other day when a friend of mine got his first bolens and it has the original gold decals on it.
All my HT20 and HT18 stuff has the black and white decals.
Why would bolens do that?

Any on have an idea on this one?

I'll have to look at my HT18's to make shore there 100% the black and white decals.
Also the HT20 I have is a 02 or newer.
By fmc taking over you meen when thay stated adding more fmc logos on the bolens stuff?
Becuse, I think you aready know this but FMC had bolens sence 1948.

So we could of just got another way of dateing the large frames years and runs.
