I got a hra214sxa for free from a friend who bought a new mower. I replaced the throttle cable/self propel cable (one was broken the other was seized), cleaned the carb and temporarily repaired the main handle, it runs (first pull) and looks pretty good except for a few rusted thru spots (I need to find a few thin prices of steel to weld in).

My question is when I remove the bagger grass clippings blow out the bottom of the back door, is this normal? The door doesn't appear to be bent, is there a plug or something I'm missing? I looked on YouTube/Google but did not find any helpful videos or photos

Without a mulch plug, the door is going to be blown open a bit, and grass will blow out through it.

I don't think the plug was sold separately, but in a kit. Your best bet for finding a mulch kit, or the plug by itself, will probably be on ebay, but make sure it is for the HRA model, not the HR with the aluminum deck, and make sure it is for the HRA214, not the HRA194. They're different, and don't interchange. The part number for the kit is 06762-VB5-D00, but it has been discontinued, although, boats.net still show it for the HRC215 and HRC216, which it also fit. You could give them a try, but don't get your hopes up too far.
