Neat forum here, looks to be lots of fine folks. I look forward to dropping in now and then. I have a '97 Cub 2185. Beasty little grasscutter that never quits. In the market for a new toy, maybe a Deere X700 series, or a similuar used machine. I'm sure I can gather some great info here and hope to be able to contritube back. Deuce, my name here, is the model of my Harley. Grass season and bike season!

Seriously, I don't think you could go wrong with an X700. That's one sweet machine, especially with HDAP's!

Welcome to MTF. Those big JD GT's are sweet. I had an x475(now called an x700) for 3 years and 180hrs -not 1 problem in that time. Keep your eye open for a nice used one. You can save a lot that way.

I have a Cub 2185, 12 years young, giving me some minor headaches. I'll get her straighened out, but I have the bug for a new toy and a big JD GT is calling me. So I'm on the hunt for a used X7xx, or maybe and older version. The last week I have spent much too much time on the computer researching and hunting.

Blind, I see you have the 2305. Sunday we were buzzing around on the Harley and I pulled into a Deere dealer lot. A 2305 with loader was on the lot and she says why not just get that one, it has a nice bucket? I love that woman!
