How would an Ariens yt11 hold up to plowing snow? I have a pretty flat and small driveway. I have other sources of snow removal for the bigger storms, but saw a cheap craftsman plow on craiglist and figured that it would be a good way to keep the mower busy over the winter. How would my Ariens yt11 hold up to plowing? I don't want to cause any transmission problems. It has an gear 6 speed (manual) transmission.

Should be fine, they made a plow for it. I have the YT12 with a 36" blower that i am repowering right now. I have been keeping my eye out for a blade nearby on craigslist to make a rear mount blade.

Going to load my rear weight box with sand and toss on the chains for running the snowblower on her. If i need sand on the ice well i have a box full with. Other option would be a few bags of driveway melt in the weight box, then i wouldn't have to go back and forth for that either!

You have a blower though, using a plow is more strain on the tranny.

I realize that, but they do make a factory blade for it.
