How to take off the dash board on an LGT14H ????

I was working on my LGT14H to free up the linkage on the foot pedal and it looks like I may need to get in behind the control panel.

From what I can see, it looks like the steering wheel needs to come off, but even when I take the bolt out about 2-4 inches below the wheel, it will not come loose.

Help !!!!!

Remove the roll pin from the bottom of the steering shaft on the pinion gear. Then the entire sterering shaft can just be pull out, with wheek attached.

Thanks for the idea about the roll pin, I was going to try that this afternoon and remembered the tractor came with the original manuals, so I checked the parts listing and found the tractor has an extension on the shaft from the factory. I looked a little farther down the shaft and found a second bolt and nut. When I removed this, teh shaft came out and I was able to pull the control panel/

Thanks for the help.
