Obviously I am not computer literate. I use it as a tool for simple jobs. I would like to copy the contents of a CD to a USB drive but I can only find how to copy from one CD to another CD.

I guess I could bring each item up in Word then save that to the USB drive. Problem is I don't think all the items will open in Word.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Walt Conner

If your CD is D: drive and your USB is E: drive, try this:

Open a command window
Start > run > cmd

In the command window enter:
xcopy d: e: /s/c/v

Right click on your Start button, choose Explore, find your CD drive (probably labeled "D"), and Copy (right click and choose Copy) the contents of the CD, and Paste (right click and choose Paste) into your USB drive (probably labeled "E" or a higher letter). Make sure you are in (clicked on) whatever drives you are Copying and Pasting to.
