My LX 176 has been mowing for years and the condition of the catcher bags shows it. Nothing torn, just what was once white is now nearly black with dust and dirt. Anyway, any suggestions on how to get them clean? The bottoms are plastic and there is a square steel frame riveted together supporting the tops of the bags. So I can't just throw them in the washing machine. Thanks for any ideas.

Liquid Chlorine like they use in pools, just dip it in a shallow pan like a litter box.

You will need sunglasses to look at it after about 15 minutes in that stuff.

Be very careful though it can burn you if you get it on your skin.

Couple gallons is all you should need to cover them.

maybe you could soak them in a trashcan with water and bleach.
