How to chose a transmission for your tractor

I suppose the article was good, but the title was a complete miss. The article had absolutely nothing to do with how to choose a transmission. Rather, it was just a (brief) brief on the different types. After reading that, a new buyer with no perspective on what kind of options he needs to be looking for would be no closer to figuring it out.

the brief about different types was to give a VERY general idea of what types are out there and the general pros/cons/uses of them. It was not written as a definitive guide for every situation.

Lastly, as to the above deleted posts the first one knows why his was deleted and the second was purely because it became orphaned after I deleted the first. No need to discuss either one further here.

Maybe so, but the author did choose to call it "How to choose a transmission for your tractor" and then proceeded to write an article about, as you put it, a very general idea of what types are out there, rather than write anything even remotely related to the title.

I found it interesting in its own right - kind of like a less informative, less substantial version of a wiki on tractor transmissions.

Kind of wished it would have been the buying guide that it claimed to be, though.
