ok now my tractor seems to be running ok I would like to set the hi speed back a little, what is the best/easy way to do this

Cvcman, to adjust your hi speed, you can screw and unscrew the throttle cable to where it mounts and sliding the cable forward will adjust your engine RPM, making it slower. This is the cable closest to the firewall. You will need a short flat head screw driver to do this.

I didnt want to do it that way because then the throttle lever will not go all the way down to the bottom of the slot

You will be moving both cable and housing theleveor will still go to the top,move it toward the engine

You will only move less than 1/4 inch
