If we have no rain for say a week with full sun I tend to give my garden a good amount of water from my garden hose every two or three days. What do others feel is the right amount of watering??.I tend to water late in the day when the sun is going down.

I have timers that go on every morning on soaker hoses for foundation beds. Because they are under the eaves, they don't get enough rain.

Most experts say that early morning is the best time to water. Air is the most saturated then and less is lost to evaporation. There is already moisture present from dew and the morning sun will burn off the moisture so that mold doesn't become an issue.
