I have a 1971 Briggs & Stratton model 190400 type 0733-01 how many sparks per rev is this, I bought a Tiny Tach 4C for it and was wondering if I have gotten the correct one. The 4C is used for engines with 1 spark for every 2 revs and I'm not sure if my engine has a waste spark on the exhaust stroke

Everytime the flywheel magnets goes past the mag you should get a spark...

That is what I was thinking, the tach I bought should be reading double then...it seems to read correctly though, of course I don't have any way to check it....if I did I wouldn't have bought a tach
