A later model Lawn Boy from a craigslist ad in Dallas:

Currently does not run...

What did the owner do try to mow the Gulf of Mexico?

High nitrogen fertilizer can cause that condition. I'd say that one is an exception though.....wow.

Could it have been sitting in a flooded shed?

I've seen the same ad. I bet the paint is the least of that mower's problems!

Sad, I just cut the yard with the one I bought yesterday. Not a bad mower. Cuts clean, starts easy and is easy to push around.

They're probably not bad mowers. As long as someone didn't expect them to last 15 years or more, they probably are just the ticket for some people.
