Hey anyone need a good hood with the chrome inserts and a broken grill(the mounts) but it had the removeable peice!! for a 71 or 72ish model SS12(i think thats what it says on the plates)....I havent a use for it and would be willing to trade it for something I can use!!!

Got any pics? I thought mine was factory, but wife's uncle must have changed muffler and cut out side of hood. Wonder how much yours looks like a 68?

Cool, I could probably just use the hood if the other guy wants the inserts. You can just throw that blade in there too..... :thThumbsU

haha Well maybe I will get rid of this after all!!! where in Ohio do u live???Im going to the Wapakoneta, OH swap meet this weekend, Hugh wants the grill but hes never said what he'd offer and shipping is kinda rough for him right now....Or i will be in Columbus in January....

It looks different than mine a bit, but my wife's uncle cut out the side when he replaced the muffler yrs ago.
I be just south of ya in good ole Hamiltucky! Pretty sad,I'm trying to buy extra parts/implements and don't even know if it will run :fing20:

Seriously? I would have like to go to that. I'm only about 10mins from that farm, I'm actually only 2 miles north of the BC fairgrounds. May take ya up on the offer if I get stuck. You do any carb work? My dad has a 1988-89 Craftsman 18hp twin that does the up and down idle, has to have choke almost all way out to run.

I am better at the Tecumseh and Onan engines, if its briggs my buddy is pretty good with them...usually just taking them apart and blowing out the dirt helps ALOT.....Ya just come up.....Id rather help someone out, then have them abandon their project do to lack of info.....
