Honda 4514 won't start

Happy Veteran's Day to all. I have a question I am hoping for some assistance. I recently tried jumping my old battery with out any success. I accidentally left the charger hooked on the battery for about 5 days. Battery began to smell up the garage. I replaced it with a new one. The mower will not even turn over. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

new one is dead? having a charger connected with the key off would not do anything. do the lights come on? what is the serial number?

even New batteries can be bad.. and most are not fully charged...

bad connection at battery.. bad battery cable... or bad connection of cable at engine/frame.

bad key switch.. need more information.
