Hi my name is Peter and I live in Sydney Australia, I have a 220 acre block of dirt (Rolex) 2.5 hours south west of my home, it is used as a weekender for my mates and family, it has 7 caravans and a party shed so we can get a crowd down there, I have six 4x4s, a couple of bush bashers and a heap of dirt bikes for fun, I run about 100 Dorper Sheep to keep the weeds down and they taste great too, I have had a TE20 with grader blade and slasher (bush hog) for about 6 years and have just purchased what should be a 1975 Ford 3600 ? , it was used as a mower and to move caravans around at a van park, I found out about it and spoke to the manager who said it would be about $1500, I thought it was worth about $7000-$8000. when I met the owner and told him my plans to bring it back to it's glory days and put it to good use he sold it to me for $100. it's a bargain, I put my slasher on it and put it straight to work, as I find things wrong I will be asking for your help, Thanks Peter.

Glad you finally made here. I almost deleted your first email but you sounded so sincere I thought you deserved a chance. You're going to enjoy this place. Lots of great guys and tons of information.
Joe
Sounds like you have a very nice place and also sounds like there'll always be work to do. It will pay to keep those machines in good operating condition.

Yep thanks again Joe I tried to sound needy without sounding desperate so sincere is about right, to all members thanks for the welcome I spent a lot of time reading your posts before I tried to become a member myself, I congratulate you all on a great forum, you all seem happy to help without trying to out do each other.

I'm OK with hand tools and a multi meter but I don't know one end of a computer from the other so we will see how things go ?

Yes I love summer, the wife and I were born and bred in Bondi and as we live on the coast the beach still plays a big part in our lives, when reading about snow and frozen motors it has been a eye opener for me, my bush block is a lot colder in winter than my home but it only gets down to about 32f at night in winter and up to 95f in summer.
