Hi,

I am Dan and I have I believe a 1981 Murray "Green Acres" 18hp briggs with 42" cut. It was my grandfathers, still runs good but the steering components need some work. Anybody know where i can get oem parts for it?

Sure looks like a Murray model number. A 1981 - 1982 would be right. Can you post a pic?

I just checked, I don't have a parts list for a 39009. I have a 39001, 39003 and 39004. If you post a pic I can probably get a parts list close enough to help identify part numbers. As far as online sources, williardssmallengines.com, jackssmallengines.com, outdoordistributors.com are a few.

I had to make the "Flex joint" out of an old tire. Just cut n' drill.
If that's broken, be sure you look at each part in the links including the King pins to see if you have something siezed.
