Hey folks! Looking for a 54" inch blade/plow to throw on my "new to me" old JD 425. Suitcase/wheel weights too!

I found a 54" plow for a ranch king and I had to have a brachet made to adapt it to my power king. It works well . Paid 50 dollars for the plow and 70 for the bracket. Perhaps if you dont gind the correct plow you will have similar luck making something work. Check local repair shops. They usually have things in back that you can get alot cheaper.

Another option is to look for the Model 54 blade that fits the 140/300-series. They tend to be more common. You can then attach it to your 425 via a “frame squeezer”. There are various adapters available, here is one:

Very interesting. Yeah, been looking for that old graybeard place where they hoard stuff to resell to guys like me... Problem is there just isn't much of that in the throw away world we live in nowadays.

The local cub dealer is where i find alot of things. I know of 3 small engine junkyards near me. I also get alot of things from the local john deere dealer. Tthe dealers all get items on trade that they dont want to sell to the general public, and they end up scrapping. They will sell if you ask specifically about it because they can get more money that way. Its how i find my projects alot of times.
