i was wondering what the value of a used motor with a cracked block may be worth for part???? it has a small hole on the bottom of the block i got it with a parts tractor i bought. it still turns over by hand its complete except one valve cover and the pto clutch. thanks

Whatever the parts bring on ebay. looks like thr flywheel just sold for $100, aircleaner $33,

Probably not much. I have one as well. A new rebuilt m18 longblock cost me close to $1k. The rebuilder told me that they drop the govenor gear and it trashes the block and most of the inside parts. He only rebuilds running motors. I'll probably keep the heads and a few bolt on parts and scrap the rest.

you said 1k for a rebuilt long block, was that buying the block and all or getting one you had running rebuilt.
