I have a 1974 tractor it says work horse on the side of the hood but from what I've read the work horses were grey? Mine is red. It's an 8 hp tecumseh 3-speed. The tractors tag numbers are: model 10100 6
serial # 744445
On the side below the fuel tank the decal reads 800 3 speed. I'd just like to know for sure what I have here, new to the horses myself and all, any info I can find helps. I'd post a pic but digi cam is on the fritz right now. Thanks in advance.

This is what you have. A 1971 Workhorse 800
The 800 workhorse (according to partstree) was only made in 1971.
Workhorse 700's came in a few other years.

So it's a '71 ? I was told by the PO it was a '74. That's why I've had a hard time finding info on it I guess. Thanks Teddy
