Unless you are very lucky you wont gain much if anything by trying to buy local. (sad but true) Spend some time reading on here and it will become apparent quickly which dealer will provide you with the knowledge you need to get you machine running properly. Anyone can sell you parts but only a few guys care to make sure it is the right one!
Oh and be careful of guys (not dealers) trying to sell you parts that are more broken and worn out then the ones you are replacing. There are some sharks out there and maybe here. Buy good new parts unless you are really really really sure of the used parts vendor.
