I found two gearboxes.
I love building things so I'm always looking for building materiels.
The first two pictures is a rightangle box with a handle.
I have no idea what the handle does yet.
The third picture is a foward and reverse box.
The forth picture is a hydrolic system. The pump is inside the tank.
Any idea what thay came from ?
The last picture is some Hay trollies I also found.

The hay trollies i remember them, we had a rail system to the midle of the cow stalls, and we used big hooks to suport the square hay bales.

The first 2 pics, I have no idea, but I know what I would do with that. Power take off comes to mind.

The right angle box looks like it has a wheel hub on the output.

Does the square male driveshaft to the right angle box mate up with the yoke on the forward/reverse box?

I have no idea what they would be used on.

the trolley is still hanging in grandmas barn. We never used it for bales, but dad said it was used for loose straw back in the day. Has two big mechanical claws to drop in and grab a pile of the wagon.

Yep, the JD rake we used to have at the farm I worked on had a square driveshaft to power it off of one of the wheels. I'll bet that's what it was from.

Here's a New Holland 55 rake. Looks very close, down to the style of lever to disengage the rake drive:

From the parts breakdown it looks like that box could be used for either a reducer or increaser since it does not use a worm drive. neat piece. I have one similar that is one to one, shaft in, pully out but it could be used either way also. yours is much beefier. -Scrump

The angle drives were also used on manure spreaders so you could disengage the drive so you didn't spread the contents of the barnyard down the road.
I can't tell you exactly what that particular reverser unit was used on, but they were used on ensilage choppers and some self unloading wagons etc. where if the machine was overloaded and jammed, you could reverse it to back the corn or whatever out to clear the jam.
The hydraulic pump looks nearly identical to one I have that came off an early 70's Chevy plow truck.
