Another related question: if I get the 48 is it possible to swap the deck later for the 52?
Help choosing between GT48XLSi and GT52XLSi...
I have it narrowed down to these two. I have 1.7 acres of land to cut and a Cyclone Rake to haul. I was planning on getting the 48" because I can get it for $2,999 which seems like a great price. However, my wife said, "Do you want bigger in case we get a bigger lawn in the future?" Well, I hadn't really thought of that.....The 52" is $3,499.
My question is, should I get the 52" just "in case"? Are there any benefits/disadvantages to the larger deck? It's $500 more but if it makes a big difference and there's no downside then maybe I'll consider it.

I can't think of anywhere it won't go. I have 70" of clearance into my shed so that's not an issue and at least that much between all the trees.Is there anywhere the 52" won't fit or will be awkward on your property?
Cool. Thanks. I just had it in my mind that I should check to see if there are any disadvantages to have the bigger deck (other than being able to fit places). I guess it's like TVs - get the biggest you can get!Then go with the 52. I don't think you're as likely to regret it as you would be if you got the 48".
I don't know many people that think "I wish I got the smaller one."
