Hello

Newbie to the forum.

Been a lurker for a while, but thought I would join and post up.

Grew up on a small farm where my grandfathers 42 John Deer B was the workhorse for plowing snow and getting firewood out of the woods. I spent many hours behind the wheel of that tractor.

My father has an immense collection of chainsaws and a number of 70's era Alis Chalmers yard tractors. I've spent many hours behind the wheels of those too. My brother Mark rebuilds magnetos. I think there is something in the genes...

Now I am a home owner and recently purchased a Craftsman YT4000 to replace a tired old rear engine craftsman rider mower that I killed in a blaze of grey smoke and knocking rod. I guess that mower was never really designed to haul a small trailer with 400 pounds of firewood!

I used to love modding cars but have out grown that hobby. I know my 4000 isn't really a mean machine, but it gets the job done. I really like the smaller CUT tractors and hope to pick one up with a front loader and rear trench shovel some day.
