Hello,
I've been a member for awhile and enjoy reading the posts and excellent answers and suggestions given on this site.
I've acquired a 1983 Case 222 with some deficiencies and hope to now be able to get this back to running and operating condition. Neglect and missing parts make this a challenge.
Thanks
Bert

If you've been a good boy and paid attention :praying::fing32: while reading here, then you should already know that you need two things right off the bat.

Contact bhildret, give him your serial number and he'll sell you the correct Operator's Manual for your tractor.

Go to http://www.ingersolltractors.com and locate the parts manual for your model/serial number and print it out.

Those two items will save you from having to ask a lot of questions about your tractor and they will teach you how to service it, when to service it as well as how to take it apart and put it back together again.

A challenge it may well be but it can be overcome without too much trouble in most instances. You could start by posting some photos from all four sides so we can see what you have and offer some opinions.

Bert :MTF_wel2: welcome aboard from Hudson Mi. Always nice to see another Mich member.
Welcome, and yes, establishing a rapport with Brian and obtaining the proper manuals will save you a ton of agro as well as a butt load of time

EDIT: In this ^ particular instance, "your mileage WON`T vary"
Welcome Bert. You're in the right place. :trink40:
