I am a retired electrician living in central Fl. Have an acre and a quarter of mostly flat ground but with easement ditches on two sides, one of which is always wet from the overflow of a spring fed pond.

I joined after reading for a couple of months and buying my 4th small tractor. The previous 3 were lawn tractors but this one is a Husqvarna GTH26V48LS bought mostly for mowing, but I wanted the heavier transmission due to the mowing of ditches being more than normal strain on the equipment.

I made a list of my equipment as my signature, but it is not showing up. How do I get it to post.?

If it showed up on this post, please ignore this. :drunkie::sorry1:

Thread Murderer

I posted the following to the Hydrogear/Huskvarna thread and seem to have killed the thread. :sorry1: :drunkie: Any suggestion where I might get help on this?

I just bought a Husky GTH26V48LS with this transmission (Hydrogear G730). First I did the purge procedure and because I was able to shift forward and reverse without the tractor moving, assume the bypass is working. But with the wire pulled back to freewheel position, if I attempt to push the tractor either forward or reverse there is a definite resistance and a pop, pop, pop. I have called my dealer who says this is done by a collar that moves off the gear to free it up. If that is the case it seems it is not fully disengaging.
