Hi Everybody: Bought a Craftsman GT5000 Excellorator to be delivered tomorrow. I am 53 yrs old and I feel like a kid waiting for a new bike. This is my first tractor. I have about 2 acres of grass and a 1500' gravel road I need to tend. This site is absolutely amazing. Thanks in advance for all the great info. Jim

Thank You! This is the first web site I have participated in, so please have patience while I learn the ropes. Is this the proper place to pose a question on how to remove the deck on a brand new Craftsman GT5000? I want to spray the underside with MoDeck before I start to cut. Any advice will be apprecited? Jim:thanku:

Good to have you here. I have grown to love this forum every day. It's a wonderful place.

For you question, post your question over in the Craftsman forum. That forum has a huge following with nearly all of them being Craftsman owners that will be more than happy to help out.

Enjoy the forums!

Hello NuTractorOwner,

Good luck with the new "toy". Post a picture. You may want to add the town you live on you profile next to your posting. Mine says Medford, NJ and seems safe enough.

The manual should cover deck removal for sure.

I am anxious to hear about how your thoughts on how your unit steers.
