My name is Joel & I'm new to this website. I decided to create an account because I was doing some research on a mower that I recently acquired. I was hoping some of you could enlighten me on some important information involving the mower (picture provided). It's in really good condition & runs great!

I think I'm going to use this as my main mower rather than buying a new Honda or Toro. I plan to keep this thing is the best condition as possible.

Thank you ahead of time for your responses!

Joel

Welcome Joel. If you have any mechanical ability at all, that mower will work out fine for you and the guys on here will help you with tips and parts to keep it running for a looooooooooog time.

Lots of Indiana folks on here now. I'm in Bedford. Where abouts are you?
Welcome....theres a bunch of us crazy LB nuts around here someplace...:trink39:
Welcome aboard! You have good taste in mowers, glad you joined us.
Welcome to the forum! Way to go posting the pic on the intro!!!! This guy has us all figured out already!
Welcome! I had a LB just like that when I was a teen. Problem was it was much more used, and I didn't know squat about engines. I used it if I could ever get it running, ended up swapping an Eiger engine from a craftsman onto the LB deck. It eventually blew up and the whole lot went to the scrap pile at the dump. What a fool I was!

Nice mower!! Those to me scream classic lawnboys!!! welcome guys around here are so nice and helpful. And we love lawnboys!!!
I'm going to attempt to carry out a full restoration this winter on the Lawn Boy (7260) pictured above. What are your recommendations on places to get parts that I need. This would be helpful to know. If you have any info, it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, watch out, that LB will multiply before you know it!

As for parts, for basic stuff like seals and carb kits, etc..., NAPA has been my friend so far, I would have never know that they sold LB parts if not for the info on here.

A Toro/LB dealer can also order what you need.

Partstree.com has a lot of stuff but I've herd shipping can be high.

Ebay can be your friend too.

Good luck with the resto, i'm currently working on a resto myself.
