I've never owned a tractor before but my neighbour gave me one yesterday so I thought I would join to learn all about it. It's a 1967 John Deere 110 T1306 with a Kohler 8 HP, 4 speed transmission. It's all steel except the hood which appears to be fiberglass. So far I am very impressed. In 1st gear it feels like it could pull the Titanic!

If anyone knows anything about my rig that you think I should know - please speak up. :thanku:

Welcome to MTF! You Lucky Dog! That's a great machine! Plenty of help around the forum for that particular model. Take care...:trink39:
:MTF_wel: I've been up to my elbows an a couple of newer 110s with the 8 HP Kohler. Keep the oil full and changed regularly. These are oil splash circulated motors so running them low or dirty is particularly bad. When in doubt pay a little more for genuine John Deere parts, especially belts.
Welcome to MTF! Nice neighbor you have!!!
Welcome from PEI.
Welcome to MTF! nice machine you have their.:fing32:
:Welcome1: and you've got a great tractor to enjoy. When you need to replace the belts make sure you use JD belts. Others will work but you won't get the longevity or performance out of them. slkpk
Welcome to MTF, eh. Glad to have you aboard. Tell your neighbor to come to Kentucky, we need to talk.:thThumbsU

Wow, nice neighbor! I had a 110 RF just like that! Sold it a few years ago and wish I hadn't but space just didn't allow for it.
Thanks all. I've started to see why John Deere has such a loyal following. This machine is beautiful!
