I've got a LT1045 and I keep a wire disconnected at each headlight because I seldom need them. But in the fall when it gets darker early I sometimes mulch leaves in early evening and need them on.

I was thinking of adding a switch on the dash.

If anyone else has done this, where did you get the switch and where did you connect it to your wiring?

I haven't added a switch to my LT1045, but I added tail-lights. I would think any 12V switch would do, with a moderately high amp rating (5, maybe 10 amps). Then it is just a matter of mounting it to your dashboard, and running the hot wire from your headlight, back to your switch, and back to your headlight. IIRC, the headlights are daisy chained from the right to the left, so you may have to cut the wire before it gets to the first headlight.
