I've been attempting to finish up my 220 (for about 3 years). I finally have the engine completed, however when I get to the tins/head, I just cannot remember exactly how/where the bolts/washers were supposed to go back. (this *cant* be a sign of getting older, I'm putting it down to lack of sleep).

The photo shows several options on the spacer/washers. I believe it's supposed to be head-washer-spacer-nut. I am completely lost on what/how to attach the other shields/exhaust, as it looks like I would end up squishing something with the way I have the spacers at the moment. Ironically enough, I did baggie the parts, just so I wouldn't be looking around the garage for 'where did I leave that ???'.

Any descriptions/pics of a what bolts/nuts/washers should go where for 220 (manual lift) would be really appreciated. Spring is coming, and it's time to wrap this winter project up. I can send along added pics if that would help.

So, not to be a total noob, but, where might the manuals you speak be located ? I've looked across the site to the best of my abilities, and I have see individual components, but nothing that shows a breakout....

I have the kohler shop manual, that wasn't exactly helpful either.

As you might see in the picture, I have a fuzzy image of someones tractor, which I have tried to use, but it just doesn't have enough detail.

Heck I'd be good if anyone happens to have a decent resolution photo of a 210/220/224 with the dang hood up focusing on the top of the motor. That would be enough for me to figure it out...

If there was a Case dealer anywhere within 60 miles, I'd just make the trip, nearest one is in Delaware.

Any help would be appreciated.
