I named mine Timex "takes a licking and keeps on ticking" And with it being related to a watch it's an oldie but a goodie.

Just wonder if I was the only one out here that does that.

Definitely not! There a rack of names on here, including some unusual/creative ones, I'm sure someone will chime in. We named our old Ford(several years ago) "Rusty" for obvious reasons. I really liked that tractor, we had it when I was a lot younger(ended up selling a few years ago), and my dad(and another contractor) was going to convert into something I can't remember. Posted a pic of it at the bottom.

I named my wheelhorse "sparky" due to all of the electrical problems, g-dad named our sears ss/14: "tommy", second ss/14: "tommy tunes". I haven't name the others, but while I was restoring the black sears gt/18, I used to call it black "ba*%ard" :trink40:

Well lets see, there is Mutt the 850 because his background is questionable :biglaugh:and then Henry the 8N which sadly I guess is about to depart us :thSick:. The garden and lawn tractors don't qualify for REAL names they are just Red for the red one and grey for the grey one and Cub for the cub.

I can understand the range of names the funny mostly inside jokes to the more obvious Rusty since it is and to the curses ...I wonder if any ever put the actual name on the machine the way auto buffs do ?

Yes we did put a name to the ole girl, Joy my wife named her Ethel because thats what she used to drink:fing20: To be honest the tractor except for a short period right after we bought her at an auction has been a great help here. I have true gratatude that we have her and the jobs completed that have made our home and land more attractive :thThumbsU
