Yesterday after mowing and mulching large piles of leaves my GX345 will not engage the pto when the dash lever is pulled up. I have power to the switch and I have taken apart the last connector prior to the PTO (checking for corrision) and when applying 12V direct from ther battery the PTO kicks in. What safety switches besides the seat are there. What shuts the mower down when you go into reverse?--This is what is suspect. Thanks for your help.

If you were mulching up a bunch of leaves and such, I wonder if your switch has a bunch of debris jamming it? Have you checked under/around the rear on the transaxle?

The reverse switch is on the frame rail under your reverse pedal. It's kind of hard to find but close enough that leafs and sticks may have pulled the wire loose. The best way to get at it is to remove the fender 6 bolts and your peddles. Mine broke the day I got my tractor and I'm not fixing it.
You also might want to look up at your pulley for the PTO and see if you have debris jammed in it or the wire cam loose.
