I found a nice 2003 GT235 with the Kawasaki motor for $1000 but the thing that is bothering me is it has 1200 hours. I know kawasaki motors are good motors but that a lot of hours. Just wanted to get a some opinions I guess the hours are just scary to me.

That is a decent price assuming the tractor is in nice shape. If the tractor has been serviced appropriately I would not be concerned about the hours.
Thanks...I'm going to look at it tomorrow well actually later on today lol....I'm guessing it has been serviced appropriately because it does have 1200 hours on it. I wouldn't think it would last that long if it wasn't.
I would buy it. Like Todd said, if they repaired the bearings, spindles, steering wheel feels good. 1200 is a lot, but taken care of. It can do 1200 hrs easy. Worse come to worse, hone it out put new rings in and check the cam lobe for wear.
the '03 GT235 I had and father-in-law still has has well over 500 hours and hasn't shown any signs of fatigue or wear. The oil goes in amber and still comes out amber and we only change it once a year, about 40+ hours a year. I was always very pleased with that Kaw. If the rest of the tractor is in good shape, that's a buy

Mine would look the same as well. Some of the best little engines Kawasaki made in my opinion. Unlike both my X530's, oil goes black after only a handful of hrs.
