GT 5000 transaxle

I have a GT 5000, model 917.276011 Transaxle 174741 according to manuel, tag on transaxle 184956. Just quit pulling. You can jack up rear end put in gear tires will turn, but if you grab a tire it will stop. When you turn one tire other spins backward like normal, but if you hold one other spins free. It shifts into every gear, you can feel it. Hoping it is something easy. Has anyone here ever split one of these? Have parts diagram and owners manuel but thats it. Any help or advice would be appreciated.:crybaby:
