Is there preferred grease that you would recommend? The manual says lithium based grease on most areas, but some mention a multipurpose grease. Anything that I can pick up at local hardware or big box stores?

While I don't have a JD yet:crybaby:, on my other Tractors and Vehicles I use Mystic JT-6 Red Hi-Temp Grease for 20 years and like how it performs. :trink40:

Like said--any good grease will work--


Do it on a regular basis---
Wipe off zerk fittings and any excess B-4, and after greaseing.

The all purpose grease most likely is a 'white lithium" type--maybe spray for pivot and contact or slide points/
