I have 5 big oak trees in my yard that I've been fighting a battle about their placement of the acorns that they love to cover my yard in. I have an older pull behind leaf sweeper that kinda does an ok-ish job, but I find that the tires push the acorns into the ground and the sweeper isn't pulling them out.

I had a thought. If I can get a front mount sweeper, it should mount to the front of my 8163-b, and I 'should' be able to sweep the acorns to the side... right? Is there a model of the sweeper that wouldn't work? This is the front mount kit that I have already, and then the sweepers I'm thinking about going to get.

Isn't that included in the front attachment kit that I have pictured?
No, that part is unique to the sweeper brush. The rear part of the picture above is the same as the rear part of the attachment adapter weldment, (part that holds the gearbox,) on your front adapter kit, however the front of that part in the picture above bolts directly to the sweeper broom. You can just make out the 4 bolt holes it uses in the picture of the sweeper you attached.

As he has a QH mount on his front drive, all he needs is the driveshaft section to couple the QH to the power brush. He just should not pick up the broom with it. There are two ways to attach one to the riders.

What is the length shaft needed? I have shafts from 2 50'' belly decks, 1 40'' kidney (pictured) and 1 44'' snow cannon, and a 'couple extra' the one guy that I got the 812 from had laying around... No idea what they are for.

This a better picture of the front attachment thing that I have.
