Ok basically we are putting all of the known tractors to still exist on one spread sheet here https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...RTNMPSNbe7DmsezoqHPib9qZW0/edit#gid=536593935

Hopefully thats the link to the google doc which was the easiest way we found to do it. Basic groups are 2 or 4 wheel and theres attachments. Any questions feel free and ask, Rich Nichols is going to be keeping track of this and Robert Ungar got the easy to use doc started so add away :fing32:

Are the 4 wheel tractors to be entered into the list?

Third sheet.

1. 2-wheelers Ls, Cs, Comms, 500s, 5000s, Pros, Rapids
2. 1-wheelers Ds & Ts
3. 4-wheelers 400s, 800s, 8000s, 8000-Gs, Gs

I wonder if I should list my Rapid XZ there as it can have 4 or 6 wheels depending on if I'm mowing or snow plowing.

Do I just ad them to the bottom or insert a new line in the right spot for the serial numbers?
I'd say just add them at the bottom. It's a database, the columns are sortable.

I put mine in where they belonged but either way works. Just it takes an extra step to do it if put in at the bottom because a serial number sort has to also followed by a year sort.
Do I assume correctly the lack of any Clean Cuts means they are not to be included in the mix? If so, darn.... Nice idea to put this all together, a noble cause to contemplate.

Hummmmm good question! Anywhere you see fit to put it be sure and add clean cut as a comment :fing32:

Would that be considered a 4 wheel rider ?

Yup - that's what I believe is the smallest Clean Cut in the Clean Cut line. The larger frame Clean Cut is like the mower in my profile picture. The Clean Cut line was a joint venture between Gravely and the Clean Cut motor corp. in Fort Scott, Kansas in the early 60's. They made the larger frame Clean Cut in a 40" model (no wing mowers) and 70" version (like mine with 2 wing mowers).

The larger frame models 40 and 70 use a rotary plow gearbox mounted vertically under the rear end to provide propulsion and steering. They are a true zero turn radius mower (ZTR). Have a low and high speed gearbox, but you have to get off, raise the hood and manually change speeds via a belt and stepped pulley setup. The model 70 has a total of 10 v-belts and the overall design represents the true Rube Goldberg of mowers. Model 70 also uses an Onan 12.5 hp CCK 2 cylinder engine very similar to the engines used in some riders.

I know of 5 Clean Cut 70s in existence. One member has one, another member has two, the Gravely factory has one, and mine. I'm thinking of selling mine if anyone is interested. Had plans to restore it, but those plans are waning and would rather find it a good home with someone that will get it running again.

While the Clean Cuts are perhaps among the most esoteric of Gravelys, it would appear appropriate to add them to the mix if the powers to be deem it appropriate.

They were a strange lot like the 3-wheel Swishers.

I would say that they fit in the 4-wheel mower category. Just like the Westchesters.

Smallest Clean Cut would be the 4-wheel push mower. :D

Now where do I put the 526 Stringtrim? :hide:
