I've had my '66 L8 for a while now; my son just picked up another L8 that we are in the process of getting fixed up. The two units are less than 500 serial #'s apart. It is reasonable to assume that the two tractors were assembled on subsequent days or at least within the same week at Dunbar? What was the daily output during the mid-60s there? Also, what is the relevance of the Manufacturing Number below the serial number?

The other day I posted a thread titled "this was in our paper today" and in the article it says often Gravely would sell a years worth of tractors in 90 days, so I would bet they were made within a week of each other at least. IMO anyway.
