Gravely attachments

Ok guys well earlier this week a guy told me he had some gravely stuff...Wow:drunkie: he was right. He has a bunch of attachments and I was kind of wondering the value and how rare some of the attachments are. He has a generator, 5 foot spreader, 1 row planter, wooden cart, wheel barrel, axel extensions, sprayer, rotary plow with the long shaft for digging holes, a front cart, gang reel mower set up, and two right angle saw blade attachments....all is in ok condition. What is it worth piece by piece? And how rare are some of these? :thanku:

A lot of these pieces are very collectable and sought after as for the price that is a tough call it depends on the area that this stuff is. If there are a lot of Gravely collectors near by then the price can be higher then if they are in no mans land.

It sound like a nice collection to me and if it were near me I would try to pick it all up good luck with it.

This is getting close to "Holy Grail" territory.

If you end up with the lot of it, then PLEASE store it all under a roof [not out in the elements] - many of these items could be featured centerpieces in our Gravely Museum [if we ever got it off the ground].

If you like the guy, and if he's serious about making some money off of this, then tell him to pack it all up and take it to the Mow-In.

If you hate the guy, and if you feel like ripping him off, then offer him a figure that looks big [but really isn't], like, say, $1000, and see whether he'll bite.

But at the Mow-In, he could easily be looking at something like

12 X $300 = $3600

Maybe even more than that.

For example, a functioning generator might bring $500 at the Mow-In.

PS: The generator is small enough that it could probably be auctioned on eBay [and then mailed UPS].

In fact, many of those items could probably be auctioned on eBay and then shipped [although a few of them might need to be sold as "Local Pickup" only].

Whew. Those are all fairly rare pieces.

A few reference numbers: I've seen extension axles go for 300. A reel mower with all the gangs will fetch 300 or more. The planter drill can fetch 100 all by itself. I'm not even sure what to guess for the generator, sprayer, front cart etc.

I concur with NBS, 1000 would be a great price for that whole lot.

I just hope whoever gets it takes care of it. And if it doesn't go as a lot, that the leftovers don't just get scrapped.

Hmmmm. I wonder if we all ought to put together a pool? Of course, there's the transportation issue...

He also has the front scoop! What is a decent price on a right angle saw blade completenwith guard?

Scoops can go for $250. The saw with drive is in the $350 range if a 26" with the original style drive. Spreader could run as high as $1000 by itself if mint.
Everytime this thread gets bumped, I'm just prayin for pics. Hope you snag a few pieces! (or the whole lot of 'em)
