How does the gear come out of the case I have a new one but I can't figure out how the old one comes out?

Use a couple screwdrivers under it and pry up.

Ok, thanks I was going to try that but didn't want to break anything and the parts guy did not give me the center piece just the gear? I didn't even see it in the parts drawing.
