Man that 420 is just a beast.
Nice collection!
Nice collection!
That makes 2 of usDid not realize the 420 was that much larger than a 425.
Nice collection as others said, I hope to do this collection line up thing too when I finally get my current project 6 horsepower 855C Craftsman all restored. I like the truck too as my grandpa had one exactly like it but gave it my uncle.Been a while since they were all working at once...the 420 was down a year. But now they all work like new again.

I didn't either...i was really surprised the first time i lined them up. To make it worse, the 425 is sitting on 445 tire sizes, 26x12x12 rears and 18x8.50x8 fronts vs stock 23x9.50x12 and 16x7.50x8.Did not realize the 420 was that much larger than a 425.
Considering the difference in engine size like 20 for the 420 and I think 25 for the 425. Then the 420 being air cooled and the 425 liquid. The 420 makes the 425 look like a runt. Sure didn't expect that.I didn't either...i was really surprised the first time i lined them up. The 425 was all wheel steer but i converted it to 2ws.
Believe it or not they are both 20hp, 617cc in the 425 and 781cc in the 420..but, the 425 has way more compression, lighter flywheel and uses about 40% less fuel.Considering the difference in engine size like 20 for the 420 and I think 25 for the 425.
