Sold the GT18 I had and picked up another one a few days later for 100.00 bucks....got it started and running good except for one problem....it wont turn off....you guys think it's the switch or?

make sure the plug on the back of the switch is completely plugged in. If it is then try taking the plug off and make sure the terminals are clean and making good contact with one another. IF that doesn't help then you can take the shroud off and find the wire that runs to the coil. Follow it from the coil to the switch to make sure it's not burnt, cut or loose anywhere. If none of the helps. Well, Its probably time to buy a new switch.

It also could be that the coil is not grounded well itself.

Mice chewed off the kill wire under the shroud on my Craftsman LT before I got it.

Well the wire to my starter was loose and as I was trying to tighten the nut I noticed the stud "was" loose...well it is now completly broken off of the starter....and advice on getting the starter off of this apposed briggs? Looks like it is going to be a nightmare...
