Yep, we saw a few LBs there too, but he wanted too much for the condition that they were in.

Seems like some of these guys think hamfest is just a flea market...but I guess thats a good thing in Sandrion's case.

We should all get on hf one day... I run a old Kenwood Ts-440 100 watt, inverted 'V' in the attic.. nothing fancy, but able to get the dx stations..

Both of us are planning on taking the Technician test soon though, gotta keep studying.:fing32:

We have yet to find a transceiver to fit our budget as well (even after 3 years of hamfest, guess we need to set the budget higher.)

cb is way more fun and cheap . no lic needed

That's what we have now, we both have base and mobile rigs. We do have a lot of fun on cb, the main thing that is keeping up away from ham is the price...
