Husqvarna YT48XLS.......read many consumer reports and had several other friends chime in with about a 50/50 mix of love and hate.

Have I bought a problem machine or is this a good mower?

It's a question that's been asked and answered many times, but if you want to hear it again, you've bought the best tractor in the $3K price range. It shares some competencies with the JD X500 and the Simplicity Conquest, but it is not the equal of those machines. It is a far sight better than what you'd buy at the big box stores and if you keep in mind it's a light-duty garden tractor, it should give you years of good service. Now, since I answered your question, feel free to post some pics.

I asked the question because of feedback here locally....I was having doubts about my purchase.

I have no idea how many times the question has been asked.....and if I had prior knowledge..I would not have asked again.

I appreciate you answering my question but your reply seems a bit snarky, maybe you're an old timer here but, you can look at my join date and see that I have been here a while....I just don't post very much.

I come here for information and if I can share some of what I know then I do so.

BTW....here's a pic!

Congrats on the new tractor! I hope it gives you many hours of trouble-free service.

As for your question, sorry, I can't be of much help.

Don't be surprised that you have many views without a comment. Many may be like me. I have a different model, and it is my first tractor. I don't know if you got a good one or not. I came to your thread thinking I might find a review with your initial impressions, and maybe some pictures of it in use. I think it's silly sometimes to want to see the pictures; they're all orange and look pretty much the same. But still, it's nice to share in someone's excitement over a new (or new to him) tractor.

I view all new postings in the Husqvarna section. Who knows what I might learn. Rarely am I in a position to offer advice or other constructive comment, so I just view. As a thread grows, I'll still keep reading it. 100 views doesn't likely mean 100 different people. Sometimes it takes a few days for a thread to get going. People are busy doing their thing, and get to MTF when they can. Also, if someone replied as I would have, I won't post to repeat what has been said.

I think CoveMason gave you a good answer. At this forum and others I read, I've come to believe that in the 50/50 love/hate that you mention, the negative impressions often come from people with unrealistic expectations of the machine/tool they have and/or from improperly using it (operator error). Don't forget, people will push to the head of the line to gripe about something before they sing its praises. So if you feel this LT is a 50/50, my gut says it'll be a good tractor.

I have the GT version of your tractor with the bigger deck, different motor, and no funky easy start. Its been a fine tractor, nothing great, but nothing bad either. Steering is getting a little sloppy here in year 3, but it is a tractor, not a sports car.

Okay, a lot of the views without replies could be because of your very general "Got a new mower" heading. I looked, but having no experience with the light duty Husqvarna riding mowers, chose not to reply. I personally have a Husqvarna built Dixon Garden tractor, totally different animal. I'm happy with mine and it has served me well for 5+ years. Good luck with your new lawn mower. Keep in mind it is NOT a garden tractor, and use it within it's designed limitations and you should be happy with it.
