Well it's been awhile since posting anything, so try an update. Around the first of June I was surfing the web, not really with intent of buying. I caught an add for a Murray GT with plow for $275. Just looking thru the pics I see it has a rear lift. From the pics I thought it was a 39004. Well make a long story short I called made an appointment to see it (knowing full well she was coming home with me) It was just the other side of Syracuse (GO ORANGE)So I packed up the ramp and some rope and straps( And the wife with the money) up the interstate 81. 25 minutes later the dool was dipping off my beard... PO said motor was rebuilt 2 years ago and had been used just for winter plowing. Oh it was about 1 inch thick dust. But she fired right up and purred no smoke real quiet. I'LL TAKE IT.......
So we back it up the ramp on to the Ranger. I started to tie her down when the seller ask me What about the deck? (No pics or any mention of deck in the add) He proceeds to move boxes and chairs and the she is again with a couple of inches of dust and dirt the deck... So the three of us lift the deck up on the plow blade and wheel well (this the old style deck made from steel not tin) I was hoping the Ranger didn't roll over on its side LOL. All strapped on and homeward bound (glad I didn't have to follow me down the interstate I could see the dust and stuff blowing off in the mirror. Got her home here are some clean up pics ## I got my first mouse nest##

What's the size of that deck?
Not sure on the size I'm guessing 46in.(Its bigger than the deck on my39003) Blades may need a touch up, has 1 hole that needs weld up.(pic#4)
Spindles are free, I need to replace lift cable and the guides for that. The deck will probably go to the bottom of the list. I have 2 other tractors for the lawn detail.
I've been messing around with the plow. I have a gravel driveway, which after we have a soaking rain I back-blade it to flat-en out the pot holes and give it a center crown for run off. Yes Ive looked at box blades, but they don't even look very rugged.

Well I think I have a plan?
I bought this tractor/plow to get the black top drive ways better.
Maybe a little back up...
I use another Murray GT to clear snow from 5 drive ways and very long right-of-way with a blower. The right-way is gravel, and 3 of the drive ways are black top.I have blower feet set for 1/4in. of clearance leaves gravel in alone, then when I do the black top it makes for a build up. Where as after 2 or 3 clearings I would have to lower blower down to scrape it clean.
Again here is where I get into trouble "THINKING" if I had a plow I could just blow everything then hit the black toppers with the plow (a plus factor more seat time) This was a factor in getting the "sweet sixteen"
After getting her home playing with the plow flatting out some pot holes and such, I realize this lady deserves a real good clean up/make over. You know the "larrybl" treatment. But I still needed the plow tractor.

So today I figured just switch plow, weights and chains on the 39003 (mower tractor), finish the mowing season with blower tractor, (blower is already off)
Not a real lot to do mostly cosmetic. Going to try for as close as I can get paint match and decals. Pics of the 3900 3, and old pic of the blower GT * the gold rims have been replace...

That Agway badged Murray is really cool, the blower tractor as well.

Nice pick up on the new Murray, they do last a good long time with some care. Good luck with it!
